ALMIRAL DE LA FONT WEDDING: SINEAD & BRAD

This is a special one. For several reasons. First, Sinead and Brad have a daughter, Edie, same age as our son Martín. Second, my wife Yolanda (Best Day Ever studio) was the florist & stylist of the wedding, which means she and Sinead spent HOURS talking about the wedding, the styling, everything. They came to visit a few months before the wedding and we went to the beach so the kids would play together. So by the time of the wedding we were already friends. Fourth, they booked AnkerProd to do videography, and they’re like family and always a pleasure to work with. Fifth, the venue was the gorgeous Almiral de la Font, which also happen to be 5 minutes away from my house. And last, we had the pleasure to meet our friends Val from Weddings Via Val and Gau Catering again, whose food was delicious as usual!

It is very rarely that the bride and groom have kids already. But if you have kids, you know how a life changing experience it is. They become the center of your world. Meeting other parents, who are going through the same stuff as you are, makes you connect instantly. It happened with Pati & Tom, and again with Sinead & Brad. Maybe because my job is to capture love and emotions, that I’m always paying attention to those little things that make life brighter, even if subconsciously. It’s a perk of the job, I guess!

Ok, back to the wedding! On Sinead’s words, “we wanted to celebrate our friends and families. We love hosting our friends for dinner and drinks, so this was an opportunity for us to do this on the biggest scale possible. We wanted everyone to party, laugh, sing, dance and just not have to worry about anything! We really nailed that!!”. It certainly felt like a big dinner and definitely there were loads of laughing, singing and partying involved. And not only on the wedding day, but the day before and after also!

About the venue: Almiral de la Font is a gorgeous rustic, Mediterranean venue sitting in the hills near the Sitges coast, surrounded by vineyards and with the most amazing balcony. Again on Sinead’s words “After spending an hour with the owner Paul, sipping on Almiral’s very own cava whilst on the grand tour, we were sold! All other venue viewings cancelled! Almiral had everything we were looking for. It was charming, spacious and had the most incredible setting -it was the one!” As you’ll see, it’s charming and unique. As a photographer, I love there are different scenarios for each part of the wedding day. The ceremony area is a wood platform embraced by pine trees, the balcony for the aperitif has the most incredible views, and the patio in front of the house is a gorgeous setting for a dinner al fresco. It’s also near the Barcelona airport and near the beach. I don’t know what else you can ask for in a venue to spend a few days just chillin’!

Before I leave you with Sinead & Brad, one more thing. This is a first, but I wanted to experiment with doing something different, so I wrote a small text to accompany some photos and create a sort of video that tells the story of the day. And nobody better than Toby to put voice to it. He was the officiant of Sinead & Brad’s ceremony, and besides being the most wonderful host at weddings, he is a narrator and broadcaster. Another reason that makes this so special. Thank you so much Toby, and now yes, go enjoy with this beautiful couple and their wedding story.

Thanks for reading!

And now, the day in photos…
