Barcelona is a wonderful city! It sits by the mediterranean and is surrounded by mountains and valleys filled with vineyards. It's a lively city with a wonderful climate all year round that makes it a great destination to get hitched! Driving 1 hour top from the airport there are many gorgeous venues to celebrate your wedding that suit different styles, from countryside old villas, vineyards and old castles where you can stay the week, to modern luxury houses and spaces with industrial vibes.
I've shot in most of the venues in the area. Villas are an incredible option as you can stay there and usually hold space for a part of your family and friends to stay there, turning the wedding into a small holiday with your closest gang: getting drunk by the pool with your best mate and your granny is now a possibility you never thought could happen. The downside, usually are best suited for smaller weddings, up to 100 (or less) guests, but some on the list can host larger ones as well.
There are plenty of beautiful venues that range from old masias, to castles, vineyards, manor houses and various venues. They don't accommodation, but are suitable for larger weddings or if you're looking to just have the ceremony and reception in a particular style/location.
