I met Jordan & Philip a few months ago on my trip to New York and we took a walk around Brooklyn and they took me for pizza. An amazing plan, right? That day I found out what an awesome couple they are. Just spend a few minutes around them and you’ll see there’s something special there. They’re funny, goofy, smart, easy going, and you can tell they love each other madly. So flying to Alabama to shoot their (second) wedding was a treat. As much as I love to travel for weddings, Alabama has been a discovery. I didn’t know what to expect, and I found beautiful fields and incredible woods almost like a tropical forest, welcoming and friendly people and… grits. It’s a typical breakfast from that parts made from some kind of corn polenta and lots of butter. Like lots. And bacon. Yummy!
It was a long weekend ending in a couple days down at the beach in Florida, but for the sake of not making this the longest post in history, I’ll just let you with the wedding and the day before with some BBQ at Jordan’s parents’ backyard. I had so much fun I can’t wait to go back to the US to shoot another wedding! Maybe J&P’s third one? 😉
