A month ago a couple friends and I flew to California to go over a small part of the West Coast. We were at the Field Trip, a wedding photography festival were 300 photographers gathered in a cool camping in the Santa Barbara coast to discuss weddings. From there we flew to Portland, Oregon, a beautiful city surrounded by huge forests. We were there with Dylan and Sara, Phil Chester and Sean and Melanie, who welcomed us and showed us around and took us to eat typical dishes like biscuits&gravy, a huge breakfast they seem to love. After a few days of basket, frisbee, walks and rad craft beers, we took the car and drove down the coast along 101 highway, stopping at small fishermen villages and redwood forests, biggest trees I’ve ever seen, which look like a Jurassic Park set. From there we went to Yosemite, the first american national park, a huge glaciar valley of immense granitic walls, where we did a hike that broke our legs but was totally worth it. To end we spent some days in San Francisco, a charming city, where every corner reminded us of some classic movie. It was my first time in the States, and I’m already thinking of going back!
