EMMA & ALASTAIR
Marcos – what a guy! He arrived on the Thursday night so we got to spend a bit of time with him before the big day. We are so thrilled with our photos. He absolutely nailed it and captured beautiful candid moments between Ali and I and all our family and friends. He was so so generous with the amount he gave us and he shot some incredible photos from the Welcome Drinks on Friday night too. We are struggling to choose just a few to put up in our flat as there are so many we love… It’s a great problem to have though!!
We can’t recommend him more highly enough and we’ve had so many compliments on our photos!
After making the decision to elope somewhere in Spain I quickly took to finding a photographer whose style replicated who we were as people. Seeing as though none of our family were going to be there I wanted photos that we would be proud to show off, not ones that I would cringe at 10 years down the track. After a few days of searching online I stumbled across Marcos and knew instantly that he would suit us perfectly. I emailed him with no idea what our plans were or even the exact dates we were getting married. That did not phase Marcos one bit. It was he who proposed Lanzarote, we had never even heard of the place! It only took a few emails to know that he was on the same wave length and we could trust him completely.
Despite being on opposite sides of the world throughout the planning process Marcos was always only a quick email away and he would always respond promptly to any questions we had. Both Lachy and I wanted a relaxed, fun experience with no fuss or stress and we got exactly that all thanks to Marcos and Yoli. They both went above and beyond for our special day. We chose to leave all the styling and creative side up to them and put complete faith in their talent. Well boy did it pay off!! All we had to was turn up looking sharp with our vows and we were good to go.
Marcos has an ability to make you feel comfortable and completely at ease whilst he works his magic. He knew exactly what he wanted and had already scouted the island for amazing places before the wedding day. Not to mention he is generally just a down-to-earth, funny guy that you will want to get to know.
Thank you Marcos for being such a legend. We will cherish our photos and the memories we have of Lanzarote and you guys for a lifetime.
HOPE & LACHLAN
We were connected with Marcos 5 months before our wedding when he came to New York and shot engagement photos for us. He came strongly recommended from a good friend of ours. We instantly got along with Marcos and his wife Yolanda, and after a day of shooting in Red Hook, we had a great meal together and talked a little about our plans for our wedding in Alabama.
The engagement photos were beautiful! Marcos has great attention to detail and a knack for highlighting emotion. We never dreamed that he would be willing to make the treck all the way to Alabama... so when he expressed interest in doing the photos for our wedding, we jumped at the opportunity!
Marcos is a true professional, and a real pleasure to be around. He was easy to reach before the wedding week, and once in Alabama, he fit right in with our family and friends. He spent the days leading up to the wedding scouting out places for our couples photos and even found spots that Jordan didn't know about! We were so impressed with his ability to find intimate moments in unexpected settings, and with how quickly he grasped our vision for the event. The results were fantastic and frankly more than we could have ever expected or requested! We are not only happy with the images he captured but also with the friendship that evolved from our time together.
We love you Marcos, thank you a million times over for everything!!
Choosing Marcos was the easiest decision we made concerning the whole wedding! As soon as we spoke with him via Skype, we were so excited, knowing we had a guy who we could have a laugh with and feel at ease around. He stayed with us in our apartment a few days before the wedding, we showed him the beautiful sights of our area (Liverpool/Wirral) and as he took photos of us joking about, we knew these pictures would be amazing memories, before the actual wedding had even begun.
We were ecstatic when we received our photos back, spending 3 hours drinking champagne and going through them all! He captured the happiness of the day and the vibes of our friend, families and most importantly, our relationship perfectly. We had never seen wedding photographs that good. He made everything feel so right and made everyone look incredible, the bridesmaids and mother of the bride were particularly pleased! He especially captured the emotions of the father of the bride, such a special thing to have.
It was an absolute pleasure to have him at our wedding, joining in all the fun, all our friends and family loved him! He made a great impression and will hopefully be back to photograph many more weddings in our city!!!
Good things are worth the wait, and so it happened with Marcos. Debbie had seen the pictures of a friend's wedding and was decided, 'this is the style I like', but what to do after he wasn't available? Time to search. Writing, asking and looking at blogs we found Marcos and after our first chat in Skype we were decided. The assurance he transmitted, the ideas he had, his positive way of being... everything seemed so easy that we felt really comfortable from the first moment.
And so it was here in Zurich. We shot the prewedding walking by the city. We had a wonderful day. We never felt uncomfortable in front of the camera and he even discovered details of Zurich that we never had seen before. Always looking for places and details, he finds the perfect place for a photo.
And the wedding day? How can someone so big and with such a beard be so discreet? There are pictures where we were surprised and thought 'Marcos was there right by our side!' He was always ready, waiting, and he didn't miss anything though we never saw him running.
When we received the photos we were speechless. We lived all the emotions of that beautiful day again. And again, and again, and again!
The guests were thrilled too. With the photos and with Marcos. In all the thank you notes they made a compliment about the photographer. All of them believed we were friends from a lot of years, and we can understand why because he really seemed so. He wasn't the photographer but the guest with a camera.
Thanks a lot Marcos!
